To the Editor of thk Nelson Examiner.
Sir — We, the undersized inhabitants of Nelson, feel called upon puoncly to express our disapprobation of the tone and spirit of your leading article of the 17 th instant, which we. consider does not embody the sentiments of this community, but is. on the contrary, calculated equally to misrepresent the views and intentions of his Excellency the Governor, as expressed during his recent visit, and the feeling and expectations created thereby. We understood his Excellency to promise an early investigation and settlement of the land and security to person and property lender an impartial and efficient administration • of our laws : — J.
