The measure is considered unfavourable to England, and" the negotiation for, a tariff convention between the two countries has been broken off.
The Greek Government has demanded new succour from its allies. The finances, of thisunforr tunate country appear to be in a most pitiful state.
It was reported in Germany that the Prince Royal of Denmark intended to adopt the hereditary Prince of Oldenburg, who would thus unite under hU sceptre, all the dominions of the King of Denmark. The branch of Augustenburg wouM obtain,; 40 a compensation, the grand 'duchy of Oldenburg, and the Prince of Hesse receive 2,000,000 of- crowns banco. According to a another version/the Prince Royal will not ascend the throne . after the death of the King of Denmark, Jjpt abdicate in favour of the Prince of Oldenburg On the Above-mentioned conditions.
The Augtbwn/ Gazette of February 20 stales that* in consequence of the conspiracy in favour of Prince' Michael discovered at Belgrade, twenty persona had been awested and brought to trial by court-martial, and condemned, one to death, the outers to impritonment for different periods.
