POLICE INTELLIGENCE.

Tuesday last, being the adjourned licensing day, the following magistrates were on the bench:— Captain Wakefield, Captain England, G. Duppa, Esq., A. Macdonald, Esq., and H. A. Thompson, Esq., police magistrate. Licences were granted to the Ship Inn, kept by J. Collins, and to the New Zealand Tavern, by Messrs. Bright and White. The application of Mr. Johnson for the Gardeners' Arms was refused, on the ground that disorderly and riotous proceedings had been frequent in the house during the past year.
