Miller in the fourteenth round of the Australian chess championship and with one round to go ihe fate of the title is still in doubtl Purdy put himself out of the running by losing to A. G. Shoebridge, but Wade won his game with M. Green and now has a chance to win the title. With one round to play the leaders* scores are: Steiner 11, Wade 10J, Purdy and Lazare each 9£, Green 8£ (with one adjourned), Koshnitsky 8, Goldstein 7J (with one adjourned), Crowl ’ll, Klass 7
