WAKEFIELD DEFEAT STATE ADVANCES The State Advances table tennis club recently travelled out to Wakefield to play a return series of games against Wakefield Club. The local players again proved too strong for the city team and won by 63 games to 45. In the men’s singles Wakefield won 25 games to 11. in the ladies’ singles 22 $o 14 and in the men’s doubles 6 to while in the ladies’ doubles and the mixed doubles State Advances cani% out on top by 5 to 4 and 12 to 6 respectively. All games were much enjoyed and many were closely contested. During the evening the Wakefield ladies served an appetising supper.
