PRICE OF PETROL

REDUCTION IN BRITAIN London, August 21. It is officially announced that petrol and diesel oil prices will be reduced by 2d. and Id. a gallon respectively as from to-day. Petrol will be 1/1 li per gallon and paraffin, creosote and bitumen will also be reduced. The reductions are the result of decreased importation costs following the end of the European war and the cessation of Atlantic convoys.
