EXIT MR CHURCHILL
ITo the Editor) Sir—l was not surprised at Mr Churchill’s eclipse. Far fields are always the fairest.” Consequently in Great Britain, as a “curtain raiser” to the “one man one vote” becoming operative in Europe to solvo the problems as old as human life of race and class and food and warmth, the majority of British electors have voted “new and temporarily abandoned “the old”—old as human instinct. With Mr Churchill at the helm of British destiny, during the crucial war years. Britain temporarily called back that spirit of hardihood and endurance of race which gave the British race its Empire. Without those moral qualities neither the Race nor its Empire will long endure. Today “John Bull,” through the spirit of Mr Churchill’s patriotic pride in Race and Empire, stands a bled white debtor in order only that millions today and tomorrow may reap, without gladness and without gratitude, the harvest of his sacrifice. Let it never be forgotten that the deluge of problems now confronting socalled altruistically civilised mankind, that the most fatal of all maladies—certainly the most reliable pointer to spiritual decay—lies in the fact that the ancient dignity of race, seen as "through a glass darkly” in the pre-eminent war effort of Winston Churchill, is lost and forgotten today. That dignity, the dignity which mother Nature has so carefully preserved since human life began, in equipping not more than 5 per cent of human society for patriotic and natural aristocratic leadership, is in my candid opinion, now dead in the heart of the British Empire. Mr Churchill is—in conformity with the valour of ignorance so powerfully directing human destiny today—the first and greatest world leader to be offered a sacrifice to the fatal illusion that communistically infected non natural Pacifism will produce a class less warless world and the Party Government of Man. When the ripe fruits of this World War are ready for harvesting—racial national, political, economic class and party—a patriotic Stalin, untrammelled by the demoralising activities of Democratic Party Government, will | be the next great Englishman, in attempting to retrieve the fortunes of his race, who carefully will follow and faithfully emulate Winston Spencer Churchill and his patriotic record. I am, etc., A. HUNTER Monaco, August 4th.
