♦ WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIP Wellington, This Day. In the Wellington cross-country senior championship at Miramar on Sataurday, A. Pay (Scottish) beat his clubmate, Bartlett, over the 6s-mile course by 200 yards. A. Barclay (Air Force) was 100 yards back (third). The Scottish Club had an easy win in the teams race from Air Force and Varsity. The Air Force team was made up of athletes from the Nelson and Woodbourne stations. Results are as follows: — A. Pay (Scottish), 39min 47sec, 1: T. Bartlett' (Scottish), 40min 27scc, 2: A. Barclay (Air Force), 40min 50sec, 3; F. Silver (Scottish). 41min Bsec. 4; C. Hawke (Varsity). 41min 17sec, 5: T.
