FIGHTING SERVICES CLUB
LARGE ATTENDANCES AT WEEKEND There were large attendances by servicemen at the Fighting Services Club at the week-end when 320 hot meals, and a considerably larger number of teas and suppers, were served. Members of the Happiness Club assisted jn \ the preparation of luncheon on Sunday, j The music for the dance on Saturday : night was provided by airmen and club i members and airmen provided the mu- I sical programme on Sunday evening. The floral decorations were most at- j tractive. Members of Ihe Nelson : Horticultural Society who provide and arrange the flowers every week-end seem to overcome the present winter j flower shortage. Gifts to the club included a sack of j cabbage from the Park Davis Trading | Coy. Ltd. and cut luncheon sausage j from an anonymous donor.
