SOME RESTRICTIONS LIFTED Wellington, June 8, Various extensions of the restricted postal services available to liberated countries were announced yesterday by the Acting-Postmaster-General, Mr. Jones. Postal communication with Norway has now been restored, but, in the meantime, the service is limited to the acceptance of letters not exceeding loz. and to uon-illustrated postcards. Communications must relate only to personal matters or to business matters ascertaißiag facta and exchanging information. Registration facilities are not yet available. The restricted postal service previously announced as being available to certaiu portions of the Netherlands is now available to the whole of that country. Registration facilities to the Netherlands are, however, not yet available. Letters and letter packets up to a maximum weight of 41b may be posted to Luxemburg; the maximum weight tor letters and commercial papers for Greece (including Crete) has been increased to 41b.: and letters not exceeding -oz. may be sent to the Philippine Islands. Regietration facilities are available to these countries. . . .. The restrictions hitherto in force ing business correspondence for France, aud Belgium to communications ascertaining facts aud exchanging information have been removed.
