TO HELP THE LOAN
ITo the Editorl
! Sir.—The Loan must be subscribed, i Everybody knows that. The tragedy ! is, people have coolecj off n spite of pathetic appeals by large advertisements. special coloured posters, talks by Ministers of the Crown and others, radio announcements, thp strafing of localities over the air. and threats of direct visitations. I am inclined to agree with many others that if we could send Messrs Nash and Langstone and a few of their friends to Iceland to cool off. there would be such a pleasing rea.ction to the Victory Loan that it would astound the people of New Zealand and outside countries. The Loan wou’d be oversubscribed in no time. How does the member for Nelson view things?—l am, etc.. “A LIBERAL SUBSCRIBER.” i Nelson, Bth June.
