GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC POWER

MEETING OF POWER BOARD At the monthly meeting of the Golden Bay Electric Power Board the following were present* Messrs E. H. Nees (chairman), J. Vaugkan, B. F. Falconer, N. L. Bensemann, A. H. Baigent, and the engineer-manager, Mr J, P. Cottier. A letter from several Kotinga residents requested an .extension of the reticulation to enable them to become consumers.

Mr Cottier was instructed to make an estimate of the cost entailed and to canvass the area in order to assess the anticipated demand. The chairman thanked Mr Cottier and his staff for the good results they had obtained with limited material in brightening the streets for VE-Day with coloured lights.

In his report Mr Cottier stated that £797 15s had been paid for Cobb power for the three-monthly period. A severe gale had caused two breaks in the power supply during the month. Seven wiring permits (comprising one new installation and six additions) had been issued during the month.
