PETAIX CHIEFLY RESPONSIBLE EX-PREMIER’S ALLEGATION Paris, May 10. “The man most responsible for the fall of Frdnce is Marshal Petain” said the French ex-Premier, M. Roynaud, declaring that his resignation in June 1940 was the result of a Petain plot. Renaud added: “I will give evidence fat the trial of Petain) but I do not want to give details until then. I think the trial will be a good thing for France”.
