INTERCESSION

Merciful Father, as a Christian community we come into Thy presence beseeching Thee at this time to look in mercy upon our country. Guide and protect the King and all his counsellors. Give wisdom and courage to those who bear command in the navy, army and air force. Grant to us and our Allies, if it be Thy will, victory and success, and speedily remove the horrors of war from the lands that have been ravaged. Rebuild the waste places and restore for a lasting brotherhood; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
