HUNDRED YEARS AGO TO-DAY
A NELSON CHRONOLOGY 10th April, 1845: About eighty men employed in repairing the earthworks of the fort. The manner in which they worked is highly creditable to them. More has been done by them in two days than was done in a week by double their number when employed by the Company. —“Nelson Examiner.”
