CONFERENCE DELEGATES MAY BE STRANDED Apl. 9. Though 200 delegates ami wives are due to arrive during the weekend, via Christchurch. for the Fire Brigade Conference. the first held for 29 years in Westport, no provision seems to Dave been made by the Railways Department for their rail transfer from Stillwater on to Westport, a distance of approximately 85 miles. The reception committee is gravely concerned nnd is appealing to the Minister of Itailwavs to look into the matter.
