CHILDREN’S SESSION FILMED Moving pictures of the Happy Hours at the Rutherford Street Church of Christ were taken yesterday afternoon The cameraman took his first shots just after 3.15 at the top of Rutherford street, when the first part of tho ‘running procession” started. At 3.25 he took more just outside the Church where a crowd of excited children was pushing its way ,nto the Church hall A peep inside the hall revealed the resson for this daily invasion of children. Film* were shown and explained by Mr G. R Stirling, who is conducting these sessions. Mr R. A. Blampied, the minister of the Church, taught and led the children in bright, catchy choruses, and also conducted some interesting competitions. A serial storv was told by Mr C G. Flood, the visiting missioner Mr Stirling has conducted this type of children’s session with outstanding success in all the main cities of Now Zealand. He is the Director of Religious Education for the Churches of Christ in New Zealand, and takes a prominent part in Dominion Interdenominational Youth work and councils. This is the last Happy Hours Campaign he will conduct in New Zealand. as he leaves shortly to take up an important post with the South Australian churches MY Stirling i s also acting as the song leader for the evening sessions of the ‘You Be the Jury’ f 1 Campaign.
