CALL-UP OF ESSENTIAL WORKERS REPLACEMENTS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE The need for the call-up of essential farm workers to be delayed until replacements were available was stressed by the members of the Nelson Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union at their monthly meeting. Considerable discussion took plao* on what was described as the very drastic way the Armed Forces Appeal Board was calling up men.
