EAR INFECTION

DUKE OF GLOUCESTER’S SON (Rec. 12.50 p.m.) Canberra This Day. Prince William. three-year-old elder son of the Governor-General and the Duchess of Gloucester, has been admitted to a private hospital suffering from infection of the ear. in an official announcement from Government House the infection is described as mild and the Prince’s admission to hospital as a precautionary measure. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester left for Western Australia on Wednesday and are not due to return until next week. Similar infections have been prevalent at Canberra in several recent winters.
