FAIR TO FINE CONDITIONS Wellington, This Day. Situation: An anti—cyclone covers New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Light to moderate variable winds, weather fair to fine, cold night and moderating day temperatures. Further outlook: Fair to fine conditions. Yesterday was the hottest day this month, the maximum temperature recorded at the Cawthron Institute being 76.9 degrees. However, conditions during the night were quite cool, temperatures falling to a minimum of 41.4 degrees. Yesterday’s bright sunshine totalled 10 hours 40 minutes. To-day the weather in Nelson was brilliantly clear and sunny, the warm conditions being tempered by a light sea breeze.
