HOUSE CRICKET
STATE ADVANCES AND PUBLIC WORKS An interesting game was played at Trafalgar Park last evening between teams representing the State Advances and Public Works Departments. The State Advances was without the services of three of its “regulars” and drew reinforcements from the local constabulary. With seven wickets down for 44, .State Advances appeared to be lard-pressed but a good stand by the eam’s “ring-ins” enabled it to reach a cotal of 106 which was sufficient to head iff the Public Works’ total by 17 runs. \ feature of the game was the excellent lelding of both teams, the catching of he winners being particularly good.
