MEETING OF MAITAI LODGE There was a large attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting of Maitai Lodge, U.A.0.D., held last evening at the lodge room, Collingwood street, Bro. F. M. Day presiding. Accounts totalling £136 11s 7d were passed for layment, including sick pay £34 15s. Su Members’ Contribution Fund £3. medical £l6 13s. and a claim for a member’s late wife £ 10. were i ::ved anti accepted from the following: “K” Social Committee (cribbage match to-night), Odd Fellows' Lodge (function in honour of Bro. M. Anderson to-morrow evening). Welcome Lodge (installation of officers. 10th October)' nd Rechabite Lodge (bowls tournament on a date to be arranged). In response to the Victory Loan Radio Appeal, . was decided to invest two separate amounts of £SO each (total £100).of the lodge’s funds to National Savings. At the conclusion of the business of the meeting, an enjoyable card tournament for the “Acorns” was played. Supper was afterwards provided by Sister Conyers (cake., -tc.) and Brb. Morgan (hot pies). The social side of the lodge’s activities is being develop .d, resulting in a Readily increasing attendance at each meeting.
