OBITUARY

THE REV. r N. KNIGHT The death has occurred in Auckland of the Rev. Percy Norwood Knight, at the age of 77. He had been in ill-health for some time. The Rev. Mr Knight was minister at St. John’s Methodist Church, Nelson, from the year 1926 to 1930. During that time he was for a year president of the New Zealand Methodist Conference. Mr Knight entered the ministry in 1889 and was in active work for 46 years, 25 years of which he spent in Australia, where he was born, the son of the Rev. F. Knight. Mr Knight came to New Zealand in 1914, and during his 21 years’ ministry in this country held an excellent record of service, being highly regarded for ihs preaching, faithful and able administration. Since his retirement, when he went to live at Devonport, he has continued to serve his church as far as health and strength permitted. He leaves a widow, three sons, Leonard, Howard and Gordon, and one daughter. Miss Adela Knight.
