POLISH PRIME MINISTER
DISGUSSIONB WITH MR EDEN Rugby, Aug. 14. Immediately on his return from Moscow Mr Eden. Foreign Secretary, entertained the Polish Prime Minister, M. Mikolajczyk. Long discussions were held and it is learned that as a result of M. Mikolajczyk’s visit to Moscow fresh evidence has been afforded of the desire of the Polish Government to place relations with the Soviet on a footing of enduring friendship and it is felt that there are hopeful elements in the situation. It is understood that the position Warsaw and means of increasing help to the Polish defenders were further discussed.
