GAOL FOR BRIBERY
Wellington, This Day. James Young, convicted on Friday on a charge of attempting by means cf bribe to dissuade Frederick Charles Danby from giving evidence in a criminal case was sentenced by Mr Justice Smith to six months' imprisonment with hard labour. The Judge said Young was master in his relations with Danby.—P.A.
