MANPOWER REGULATIONS
DEGREE OF PUBLICITY Wellington, May 25 In a recent Court case in Dunedin, counsel, who was defending a large company charged with a breach of the manpower regulations, remarked that suggestions had been made by commercial organisations that greater publicity should be given to new regulations. Replying to that plea, the actingPrfme Minister, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, states: “The National Service De-partment-has given sufficient publicity to the manpower regulations to enable employers to recognise their responsibilities. Other departments have acted similarly in regard to important regulations. "When employers and other persons affected by regulations have their attention drawn to these masters by announcements in the press, there is an obligation on them to give proper to the information. Care is taken to make the main points clear in published summaries. Copies of regulations are easily available for persons who wish to make a close study of the full text.”
