ST. MARY’S LEAGUE
NEW COMMITTEE ELECTED The social circle of St. Mary's League held a pleasant afternoon in St. Mary’s Hall where a cheery fire added much to the brightness of the gathering. Enjoyable musical items were given by Miss Emily De Cekare. who sang two delightful songs, and by Mesdames Wilson and Cantwell, who played two piano duets—the well-known “Unfinished Sympathy.” by Schubert and “Sleigh Bells” by Chas Calkin. A dainty afternoon tea was served. The election of officers for the forthcoming year resulted as follows:—President. Mrs Du Flou: vice-president, Mrs Ralfe: secretary, Mrs Hallam: committee. Mesdames Johnsen. Weblev, Benjamin. Clark and B. Grant; reporter, Mrs Armstrong. Mrs Hallam. the past year’s president, thanked the secretary. Mrs Grant, the committee and all others who had contributed such helpful and untiring work thorryhout the year, and wished the new. committe every success. It was announced that the special feature of the next meeting would be a travel talk by Mrs Pond. of Redwood’s Valley and a competition for the best shoulder spray.
