VICE-REGAL VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge, May 24. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall, made an official visit to Cambridge to-day. This morning they spoke to 1000 district school children. At a civic reception this afternoon nearly 1000 people gave the vice-regal party a warm welcome. The reception was preceded by a parade which included a representative attendance of returned soldiers. His Excellency. replying to the welcome, paid a tribute to the Dominion’s war effort and urged its continuation. Following afternoon tea the Vice-Regal partv left for Frankton.—P.A
