NEW TECHNICAL SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Timaru, May 24. Mr George Hill, M.A., Dip. Ed.. Dip. Soc. Sc., at present a senior assistant and an evening school supervisor at Southland Technical High School, has been appointed principal of Timaru Techncal High School in succession to Mr G. A. Thompson, who has been appointed principal of Hawera Technical College. There were 42 applicants to the position. Mr Hill travelled abroad in 1931 to study technical education in Japan, the United States and Britain.—P.A.
