NELSONIAN AT INVESTITURE

(Rec. 12.45 p.m.) London, May 25. The D.F.C and bars were received from the King by Wing Commander J. R. St. John, oi' Nelson, and Squadron Leader E. D. Maekie, of Waihi, when attended a recent investiture. D.F.C.’s were received by Squadron Leaders J. K. Porteous, of Auckland, flight Lieutenants O. R. Chapman, of Timaru, and J. G Pattison, of Waipawa. Lieut. S. Jervis, R.N.Z.N.V.R., Remuera, received the D.S.C. They were later entertained at the New Zealand Forces’ Club, where they were congratulated by Mrs Fraser and Mr and Mrs Jordan.—P.A. Special Correspondent.
