'Ttnjust Pack Gosh, it’s good to be in little old New Zealand again. I don’t know how many times I’ve thought about Home and all you folks back here. That was why it was so good to know that you were thinking of us too we always felt that when the Patriotic parcels arrived. All the old labels on the tobacco and chocolate and tinned stuff. . . and the feeling that New Zealand women had packed those parcels for the love of the thing. And talking ot the Patriotic crowd, do you realise what their work means to our chaps with the recreation huts, stationery, coijiforts foe the wounded, sports outfits, concert parties and goodness knows what? If you do realise, then I think you’l fork out with a smile when the next Patriotic Appeal hits you !” to All the war work of the Y.M.C.A., Salvation Army, Church Army, Catholic War Services, N.Z. Navy League, Air Force Relations, N.Z. Red Cross and St. John is wholly financed by Patriotic Funds. ***?£»* fUH®
PETER Ike PILOT -calling all %.hildren Dear 80/s and Girls, Naturally you are disappointed that I am unable to give you any albums this year, but I’m sure that no one would want a new album when all the paper is so urgently needed for wrapping and packing the thousands of items needed by our fighting men. And I will be so busy with official duties that I won’t have time to tell you of my adventures over the air. But I still have a few picture cards left and I’ll put these in the Diamond O-TIS packets as long as the supply lasts. I know you won’t mind going without a new album this year and not being able to listen to your favourite radio serial. Doing without these will be your war effort, won’t it? But you won’t have to do without Diamond O-TIS it’s really corker for breakfast. And after the war I’ll have some grand new albums and picture cards for you and some wonderful radio serials about my war adventures. So keep on eating Diamond O-TlS—like I do.
