GOLDEN BAY FOOTBALL
TWO CLUBS COMBINE 1 Mr D. Mason presided over the first annual meeting of the Golden Bay Football Club, to be held fqr three years and expressed regret at such a very 1 small attendance. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £5 ss. ' After a discussion of the problems of " football lo»- the new season, it was re- , solved, with the support of those 3 members of the Old Boys’ Club who were present, to combine the two clubs under the name of Golden Bay Old j Boys until after the war. It was dej cided to deposit the balance of £5 5s in s the Post Office in the name of the Goie den Bay Club and leave it untouched at present. Practices are to commence r next Saturday. The following was the result of the - election of officers: Patron, Mr N. Walker; president, Mr J. A. Hoare; vicei presidents: Messrs R. Bensemann, K. i I’eary, C. Ferguson, H. Foskett, T. - Raharuhi, and W. Satherley; club caoi tain. Mr C. Ellery: committee. Messrs - B. Ward. W. Haase. D. Mason. P. Reilly, W. Satherley; secretary, Mr J. A. Lockhart (pro tern.)
