CONCERN AT MANPOWER DIRECTION Concern at the calling up for other work of specially trained assistants in retail establishments was expressed at a recent meeting in Wellington of the advisory council of the New Zealand Retailers' Federation, and it was decided to approach the manpower authorities in the matter. The training of many such assistants and their subsequent direction to other employment created distinct hardships, it was stated.
