Perth, April 12. Dr Thomas Wood, English composer, broadcaster, and author of the famous book “Cobbers,” is in Perth having returned to Australia after 12 years’ absence. He is here on a special mission on behalf of t’.e British Government. Dr Wood expects to snend at least 12 months travelling through the Commonwealth to tell Australians what Britain has done and is doing in this war. and learning about Australia so that he may tell Britain of the war effort in this country on his return to England.
