SATURDAY NEXT AT TRAFALGAR PARK On Saturday next one of the most colourful and spectacular displays ever! - '" seen in Nelson will be hold, when the Nelson Provincial Championships for Girls' Inter-House marching and men's tug-of-war competitions will be competed for. Splendid entries have been received for both events and a full afternoon's entertainment will be provided for the thousands who are expected to be at Trafalgar Park. All the various teams have been training for the past few weeks and keen competition will be the orde- of the day. rhe uniforms of the girls are very neat and snappy and are a great credit to [heir designers. The Air Force. Garrison and Pipe Bands will be in attendance and side shows, afternoon tea and ice cream stalls will be available. All proceeds are for the Returned Servicemen’s Gratitude Appeal Fund. \ special announcement will be made from 2YN at 7 o’clock to-night.
