Auckland, March 8. A farmer. William Henry Blowes of Mahoenui, near Te Kuiti, was to-day admitted to probation for three ; > ears on an admitted charge of sheep j stealing. In the dock be declared that Ins earlier statement was wrong and that he did not steal the sheep. Mr us ice Fair warned the prisoner not °. with a feeling of bitterness or malice against anyone, but to endeavour to redeem himself by honest, hard work.—P.A.
