WING COMMANDER BRASS London, Feb. 7 After being a Flight Commander for seven months Squadron Leader D M Brass, of Wellington, has been promoted Squadron Commander with the rank of Wing Commander. He spent ei»ht months in Canada and the United States early in the war on a special navigation course. Later he served as navigational officer at a reconnais sance school. Wing Commander Bras, has flown over 1500 hours, of which over 500 were on operations. He is now on his second tour of duty Hj s squadron had several successes ’against U-boats. Wing Commander Brass was educated at Southland Boys’ High School, Invercargill.—P.A Special Cor respondent.
