EASTER TOURNAMENT The coming bowling tournament is likely to be a record for Nelson in respect to entries. Although entries do not close until well into March, the number so far received amounts to 48. Several of the city and district clubs have still to send in their entries. Fourteen distant clubs have sent in entries and more will be forthcoming. A number of bowlers are bringing their lady folk. The secretary (Mr Piper) has received entries as follows: Greymouth Club (five entries). Millerton 3. Westport 3. Woburn 1, Claudelands 1, Masterton Park 2, Lyall Bay 1, Brightwater 1, Maitai 4, Granity 1, Wellington Central 1, Cobden 2, Seatoun 2, Carterton 2, Tahunanui 2. Wellington 2, Takaka 2, Runanga 1, Mapua 1, Nelson 2. Mr Eric Moss, of Greymouth Club, has presented a valuable cup to the Nelson Centre to be played for annually at the Easter Tournament. It cannot be won outright. The winning rink at the coming tournament will hold the cup for the year. The cup is to be returnable to the Centre prior to each tournament.
