THE HOLIDAYS

Last Wednesday Nancy and 1 and Mum went to th e swimming carnival. We also went to see “How Green Was My Valley.” It was very good. There was a whistle on the coal mine. When we went down to the beach it was good fun. This morning I played shops. In it we had dolls, guns, tops, a lucky dip, dogs and a fire engine. One day this week we are going for a picnic up the Maitai. I received a lovely set of postcards the other day from David and Helen in Brisbane, Australia. —Benny Gibbs, Nelson.
