TO-MORROW’S RACING PROSPECTS AT THREE MEETINGS With the curtailment of racing owing to railway restrictions there will be only three meetings in New Zealand to-morrow: Matamata R.C. in the north and Marlborough R.C. in Ihe south, while the C.J.C. will run thiee races (including the Middle Park Plate) at a non-totalisator meeting at Riccarton. Form is now working out a little better than before Christmas, although the small fields and double entries at Marlborough may be a bit tricky. WOODVILLE MEETING CANCELLED Palmerston North, Feb. 3. As the railways will not carry racehorses during the period of the restrictions and the Transport Department has refused to allow petrol for the floats to convey horses to the meeting, the Woodville Jockey Club has reluctantly decided not to go on with the race meeting fixed for 19th February, but will apply for another date. —P.A.
