TO-DAY'S WEATHER FORECAST

FAIR TO CLOUDY Wellington, This Day. The indications are for light and variable winds at first with moderate westerlies later predominating, weather fair to cloudy with moderate temperatures. The further outlook is for conditions becoming unsettled with occasional rain. A fairly heavy coating of snow is still persistently clinging to the higher levels of the western ranges, and although there has been bright sunshine for the last few days, the air in Nelson has retained a wintry sharpness. Conditions to-day were fine and calm with bright sunshine during the morning. Yesterday’s sunshine total was 9 hours 55 minutes.
