NEW JAPANESE DRIVE

CHUNGKING THE OBJECTIVE TROOP MOVEMENTS REPORTED Chungking, June 29. A fresh Japanese drive on the western Hupeh gateway to Chungking is indicated, according to intelligence reports. Important Japanese bases at Nanking, Hanchow and Sinyang are believed to be focal points for the new drive. Spies have also reported the transfer of enemy troops around Hankow.
