SPECIAL EDUCATION
AUSTRALIA’S POST-WAR GROCERS London. May 7. Boys who want to enter the grocery trade in Britain after the war may have to take special educational courses. They will have to understand the psychology of salesmanship and modern production methods. The post-war problems (education) committee of the Institute of Certificated Grocers recommends that commercial scholarships, tenable at home or abroad, should be provided in the national education system, so that students can go on to commercial colleges and universities. The committee suggests that the importance of food distribution should be stressed in schools, particularly on the screen, and wants to see employees recruited from secondary schools.
