U.S. CONSUL-GENERAL TO BE RECALLED

NOTE PRESENTED TO ADMIRAL ROBERT (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) Rugby, April 30. The United States presented a Note to Admiral George Robert, French High Commissioner of Martinique, abrogating all existing agreements. The Note said the United States regarded - Admiral Robert as still loyal to Vichy and also announced that the United States was recalling the American ConsulGeneral from Martinique.
