HITLER RECEIVES LAVAL
AXIS PROBLEMS DISCUSSED EXAMINATION OF FRANCES PARTICIPATION (Rec. 1.45 p.m.) London, April 30. “Hitler received M. Laval at his headquarters in the presence of Herr von Ribbentrop, Signor Bastianini, Italian Secretary 0 f State for Foreign Affairs,” says a communique from Hitler’s headquarters. “All present showed a complete understanding of the problems confronting Germany and Italy on the one hand and France on the other hand. France’s share in the effort and the sacrifices which the Axis Powers are ready to bear in building up a new Europe against Bolshevism and British and American plutocracy were fully and objectively examined. The advantages accruing to France through participation were also examined.”
