STOP-WORK MEETING

AUCKLAND WATERSIDERS Auckland, Mar. 10. An extended stop-work meeting was held by members of the Auckland Waters’ ie Workers’ Union this morning, and lasted from 8 o’clock till midday. Members of the national executive of the New Zealand Waterside Woikers’ Union addressed the meeting. It was extended to attend to urgent national business, said Mr H. Barnes, president of the Auckland union. He said he did not wish to make a statement or make public any resolution passed. The business had been of national importance. Work on all ships stopped while the meeting was held.—P.A.
