Gestapo battle police have joined thd German High Seas Fleet at its Norwegian bases, says the ’ Daily naval correspondent. This follow’s the recent purge of 10 German admirals* The Gestapo will keep strict watch otr officers and men of the fleet and report, direct to Himmler. The correspondent says desertions! have occurred from the feet, which har* been in Norwegian waters for two year*and has failed to check British and American convoys to Russia —P.A.
