127,256 MILES FLOWN Sydney, Mar. 2. The New South Wales Flying Doctor, Dr. J. W. Woods, has informed the council of the association that during the six months ended 31st December he made 35 medical flights of a total of 14,841 miles. Since the organisation was established in 1939, New South Wales flying doctors have made 301 flights of a total of 127,256 miles. Each pedal radio set linked with the Flying Doctor Service is a registered telegraph station, through which social and business messages, as well as medical calls, are sent. Since 1939 the wireless base at Broken Hill has handled 20,576 messages of this kind.
