BOMBS ON BANGKOK

EFFECTIVE R.A.F. RAID DAMAGING FIRES STARTED (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) Rugby, Dec. 28. A New Delhi communique states: “About midnight on Sunday a considerable force of our heavy bombers was over Bangkok, Thailand, where various targets were effectively bombed. A large arsenal and powder factory north of the city was hit. Bangkok aerodrome, one of the most important enemy fields in occupied countries was successfully attacked. At the same time the naval dock area of the city was hit with heavy bombs which caused damaging fires. Not one of our aircraft is missing.”—B.O.W.
