Mrs M. R. Batchelor. Waimea road, ! has received word that her husband. ! Pie. Arnold Batchelor. who was wounded in Egypt, has now been discharged from hospital. Mr and Mrs J. C. Mathison. of Waimea road, have received advice from their son. Flying-Officer H. C. Mathison. that he has arrived in England safe and well. Flying Officer B. T. Shell has been transferred from the equipment branch of the Royal New Zealand Air Force to the administrative and, special duties branch and granted ' the temporary rank of squadron leader. Mr A G. W. Dunningham, librarian of the Dunedin. Public Library, has arrived at Wellington to act as liaison officer between the Army, the Country Library Service and the New Zealand Library Association in providing books for troops in camps
